Building Fund
Our parish has established a permanent home in Norfolk, VA. Our vision is to be a living and loving witness to the Orthodox faith in Hampton Roads, and to invite others into our community to experience that love and life themselves. You can help us in three specific ways:
- Add Dormition Orthodox Church to your daily prayers.
- Make a gift or a forgivable loan to the parish. If you want to know how a friendly loan works, please contact Fr. John. (A forgivable loan may not be tax-deductible. Please check with your accountant or tax attorney.)
- Tell a friend about us. Please share what we are doing with anyone who is interested in helping us reach our goal or who might need a good church home. Our doors are open to as many as will fit inside!
Leave us a note and tell us whether your donation is for the building fund or for operating expenses. Please note that while all donations are tax deductible, building fund donations are not the same thing as a friendly loan.
NOTE: A friendly loan is a financial agreement between associates. In our case, it is an agreement between the Diocese of the South (OCA) and individuals affiliated with or interested in the Church. The terms are negotiable.
